New Books for summer reading!




The Tales of Beedle the Bard- The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a Wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers' attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Pirate Attack - A brief, simplified retelling of the episode in "Treasure Island" during which Jim Hawkins tries to keep a treasure map safe from Long John Silver and his pirate band.

Max's Words- by Kate Banks - When Max cuts out words from magazines and newspapers, collecting them the way his brothers collect stamps and coins, they all learn about words, sentences, and storytelling.

Blossoms and Brunch

Sparkly Peppermint Playdough Recipe


2 Cups of Water

2 Cups of Flour

1 Cup of Salt

4 teaspoons cream of tarter

4 Tablespoons of Oil

4 Teaspoons of Peppermint Oil

glitter (optional)


Mix all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan. Form dough into a ball, sprinkle with glitter, place on waxed paper and cool completely. Store in Ziplock bags.
